Rabbit and hunter

Time: approx. 15-30 min.
Recommended age: from 8
Size of group: 5-7 persons min.
Time for preparation: none, only time to mark the field
Material: ball, cones


Game description

A player (rabbit) is in the middle of the circle. The hunter on the outside of the player must try to hit the rabbit with a ball.
Option

The others are allowed to catch the ball. If you have a larger group you can have more than one rabbit in the circle.
Judging

The time is recorded how long it takes before a rabbit is hit. The rabbit who held out the longest is the winner.

Ball game: Throwing and scoring

Time: approx. 15-30 min.
Recommended age: all ages
Size of group: 5-7 persons min.

Game description

The group members stand in a row next to each other in the middle of a field. A thrower behind the row and one in front of the row try to hit the players. The players in the middle are only allowed to duck to avoid the hits. A step to the side is not allowed.
Option

A) One step to the side is also allowed. B) Jumping up is also allowed. C) Catching the ball is also allowed.
Judging

Which of the two throwers can manage the most hits? Or who has the most hits from 10 throws?

Ball games: 2 front ball

Size of group: from 10 persons or more
Time for preparation: none, only time to mark the field
Material: ball, cones


Game description

In this ball game 3 fields measuring 3x3m are marked out with sawdust. The group is split into 3 teams - one in each field. The team in the middle field are targeted with a ball by the other players in the outer fields
Option

Instead of marking out 3 fields, you can use 1. The other 2 teams stand outside the field and try to hit the players in the game field.
Judging

How long can the team in the middle keep going before all of them are hit? Then the next team can have a go.

Push ball games

Time: approx. 30 min
Recommended age: from 8
Size of group: approx. 10 persons or more are perfect
Time for preparation: none
Material: Push ball or earth ball


Game description

Lots of games can be played with a push ball.

* Push ball rugby: the push ball must be brought behind the opponent's line.
* Push ball in the air: the push ball may not touch the ground but must always be kept in the air by the group.
* Push ball vault jumping: Vault over the push ball (help might be needed depending on the size of the ball)
* Push ball relay: the push ball must be rolled back and forth or may only be passed with the head. Contact with the ground is not allowed.
* Push ball run: Standing and running on a push ball is only possible if it is very large.
* Push ball transport: everyone lies on their backs on the ground next to each other and pass the ball along the row.

Hunter Ball

Material: ballThe hunter tries to shoot the other players.

Time: approx. 15 min or longer
Recommended age: from 8
Size of group: from 15 persons or more
Time for preparation: none


Game description

The “hunter” tries to shoot the other players. The player who is “shot” is out. If the player can catch the ball or if the ball hits the ground first, then it is not a good shot and he is not out. He may then throw the ball wherever he wishes.
Option

Play as a team game. How long does it take to “shoot” all the players on the other team?
